The InBody580 with Bioelectrical impedance analysis refers to several related techniques for determining body composition based on measuring electrical impedance or opposition to the flow of a small alternating current applied to the body.
Different tissues in your body allow the electrical current to travel at individual speeds. Based on that rate, a calculation is used to estimate fat-free mass. The device then uses other data such as your height, gender, and weight measurements to determine your body fat percentage.

It can lead to inaccurate assessments of muscle mass and body fat. Such data will not be accurate!

Since water itself does not conduct electricity, InBody may mistakenly interpret it as fat. Measurement results might show an increase in body fat, but in reality, this will correct itself once the excess water is expelled.
